Well, sorry, but I’m not buyin’ it! I keep all my domains with Hostway.com. They are always $6.95 and there is no ICANN fee to pay.
There is cheaper… 1&1 offers $5.99 domains, but I had issues the first time I tried using them, so I stuck with hostway.

I must say that 1 & 1 has horrible customer service, and a very un-customizable control panel. I couldn’t even setup my own name servers through their system. The customer service reps didn’t even know what that meant!
I’ve been pretty pleased with GoDaddy, though at first the interface was a bit overwhelming. I also dislike the advertisements they have all over the place, and their constant attempts to get you to buy all these extras that you don’t need.
I’ve used a coupon code for all the domains I’ve bought from them recently, so have received a discount, but there is still cheaper out there.
Maybe I’ll have to try Hostway for my next few…hope the service is good.
