One thing I have discovered about faith, is that there is a world of difference between doing something 'religious' according to our own will that appears good and spiritual to men, and then asking God to bless it, vs. waiting patiently on God's leading, and then doing His will. The former increasingly masquerades as faith in this world, but only the latter is genuine faith recognized by our Lord.

We are to have 'childlike' faith in the person of God alone, not faith in ourselves, or faith in our faith. As Christ said, "I do always those things that please him" (John 8:29b).
