David Beckham & Barry Bonds

David BeckhamI read this article on SI.com this morning about David Beckham coming to America to play soccer. It seems to be all the buzz right now.

Personally, I could care less. I wouldn’t care if soccer just went away. I find it extremely boring. That’s okay though. My favorite sport is baseball and I realize that there are a lot more people in the world that find baseball boring than there are people that find soccer boring.

But I enjoyed the article mostly because of the last paragraph that bridged the two sports.

In the meantime, may we hope that some other country of the world with a struggling baseball league will decide that the way to make it work is to take Barry Bonds off our hands.

    I feel exactly the same way about football, although living in the UK I could get crucified for saying so! Rugby, now there’s a man’s game…
    I believe from a business point of view Beckham in America has been a success, but he hasn’t done much on the pitch, from what I’ve heard.

    That’s funny Rod. I agree, Rugby is a much better sport. At least everyone gets to us their hands an legs :) I love Rugby, but I don’t know how much I’d enjoy playing it professionally. I think I would value my ears too much. I spent two years living in South Africa – so go Springboks! :)

    I don’t like soccer, it just so boring to watch, but I do like baseball. I think Beckam didn’t really succeed much in the US as a player. Anyway, I still go for Baseball and I’m a fan of the Boston’s Red Sox.

    Rugby and soccer have both got a bit of action at least. Baseball is like watching an uphill snail race in slow motion.

    Whatever sports makes you happy works. I like baseball too and don’t consider it boring. But I find soccer amazing!

    I live in th uk and love football/soccer, i cant stand rugby and never really watch baseball to call it boring, about beckham he should have never gone to La because it was just for the money and not to help the sport grow which is really bad and puts people of football which really is the greatest sport on the planet lol
