Cheap Hotel Prices

A couple years ago we drove to Denver to watch the Braves play the Rockies. I found our hotel that we would stay in after the game through Hotels.com. Then my wife said there was no way she was going to drive and and only stay one night. She wanted a travel day!

So I had to find another hotel. Rather than just getting another room, I went to Priceline.com
I bid really low just to see what would happen. I ended up getting a room that would normally cost $109 per night for only $30! It was a Marriott too. I have to say that that night was a much nicer stay that the second night where we paid $59 for a dive! Seriously, the second place was just scary.

I think the reason we got such a good deal was because once we got to Denver we realize it was kind of hard to get to our hotel. They were doing construction on the off-ramp that took you directly to it. So we had to go to the next off-ramp and find our way back. Still, it was so worth the small hassle.

We are planning another trip for the end of this month. I’ll let you know how it goes with Priceline.com
again ;)

Wow! Just $30 per night for a Marriott? Well done! Priceline comes up with some excellent deals sometimes. But just in case I always check other hotel sites also – except off course to look for a Marriott even cheaper then that ;-) .

This is a great way to get affordable acoomodation!

There are more websites like http://www.Priceline.com: roomauction.com and skyauction.com for example. And in my country, the Netherlands, there is vakantieveilingen.nl and hotelkamerveiling.nl.

Of course it is a auction, so there is no garanty that you get the hotel room you want.

$79 is an amazing bargain. I mostly use Priceline for cheap flights but definitely they are good at hotels too…
