Paying Down the Explorer
I started the year with a $14,332.56 debt on my Explorer. So far I’ve paid $1,349.05. I still owe $12,983.51. Financing a car sucks. I never want to do it again.

Paying Down the Credit Card
I started the year with a debt of $11,371.50. So far I’ve paid off $1,144.73. That leaves me with $10,226.77 to go. By the end of the month I should drop a digit from that number!

Playing Softball in September
My brother is out selling alarm systems in Oklahoma. He asked me to find a softball team to play on in September when he gets home. I just happened to talk to a guy about softball last weekend and he said we could join his team in September. It’s not baseball, but it will do for this year.

I got an iPod
Ok, funny story… My brother just graduated from medical school and is starting his residency program. His wife threw him a big party. My mom bought him a 40GB black ipod video. When I saw it I said, Mom, you know I graduated in December. She had no clue – maybe because I never told anyone and didn’t bother going to graduation. It’s no doctorate degree, but it was a bachelors in computer science. I dropped by here house to help her with a computer problem the next week and she had a gift for me! Exact same model as my brothers!

New Cell Phones Again From LetsTalk.com
So you may have seen from my previous post that I ordered cell phones for my wife and myself over a year ago. We had a T-mobile family plan. Service & everything else was good, but we didn’t seem to NEED them. So we decided we would cancel our plan and live without for a while.
It turns out we couldn’t have picked a worse month to cancel our plan. We had all sorts of issues, like me transfering jobs, our son getting sick and going from ER to ER… Don’t worry, my son is fine and I got a new job, but it sure would have made things a lot easier to have been able to communicate better during that time.
So we’ve decided once again to get cell phones. Having learned what we like and dislike about our phones, we picked out something cooler! We both got these cool new Sony Ericsson Z520a phones. I read a lot of bad revies that the camera button is really annoying and takes a lot of snapshots when you don’t mean to. I don’t know if they updated the firmware or what, but you have the hold the button down for a while just to get to the camera mode to take snaps, so it really hasn’t been an issue.
Of course, I went to LetsTalk.com again to order the phones. They made it easy to compare all plans and phone at a glance. Plus, they tend to save you the hassle of shopping around and speaking with annoying sales people!

I can’t believe it!
I went to a large Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Launche event. Thousands were there and guess who won a door prize?!? Me! I chose a little coupon thing so the prizes will be mailed to me. $50 ticketmaster coupon, books, etc. I wish it were an XBOX 360, but beggers can’t be choosers eh?
