It’s been crunch time lately here at work. We’ve been approaching a deadline for a meeting where we are going to showcase some new software. I’ve heard programming compared to whack-a-mole. You knock out one bug just to have one or two more pop up somewhere else. And that’s exactly how its been!
As a freelance web developer, I often get asked this question: “How do I get listed in the search engines?”
Well, it’s a loaded question really. I’d like to just reply by saying, “Just let the search engines come find you.”
Well the truth is, that is basically what happens. You don’t need to go around submitting […]
One thing that annoys me about many web analytics packages is that when they report referring sites, they drop the GET request. So if you get a link from a forum you have dig through their search results to find out what people are saying about your site.
Reuban Yau has found a little hack that […]
I’ve had this problem for a couple days and I told myself that if I found the solution I would post it on this blog. Basically, what I have is a ComboBox control which has a data binding to its SelectedValue.

I’m glad to see more auto classifieds sites popping up - especially free ones. I remember back in the day shelling out $40 for a basic crappy listing at autotrader.com. Things continue to improve. I liked uCoast.com for a while, but I think they died a slow death.
I will only buy Used Cars. New cars […]

My mother-in-law called me last night to see if it was possible to extract clips off of DVDs and then make a compilation of these clips on a new DVD. I had to assume it was, but honestly I’ve never tried. So I spent my morning trying. I found it was possible and even free […]
I really like Jeff Francoeur. I suppose he’ll take over as my favorite player after Chipper retires, just as Chipper took over for the gap left by Murph when he won my respect his rookie year. Why Francoeur? I’m not totally sure. I know it has nothing to do with my wife thinking he’s the […]
I’m looking for a better way to upload images. With the popularity of AJAX and web 2.0 everywhere, I would suspect their are better methods of uploading images now-a-days. I building a custom image gallery for a client. The following sites are tools I’m considering. Sorry, but I don’t have good review for each of […]
