I’m not really sure as to the source of this. I received it via email today…
EVIL MUTANT ATTACK SQUIRREL OF DEATH
I never dreamed that slowly cruising on my motorcycle through a residential
neighborhood could be so incredibly dangerous!
Little did I suspect.
I was on Brice Street - a very nice neighborhood with perfect lawns and
slow traffic. As I passed an oncoming car, a brown furry missile shot out
from under it and tumbled to a stop immediately in front of me.
It was a squirrel, and must have been trying to run across the road when
it encountered the car. I really was not going very fast, but there was no
time to brake or avoid it — it was that close. I hate to run over animals,
and I really hate it on a motorcycle, but a squirrel should pose no danger
to me. I barely had time to brace for the impact.
Animal lovers, never fear. Squirrels, I discovered, can take care of
themselves! Continue reading “EVIL MUTANT ATTACK SQUIRREL OF DEATH”

My wife and I finally got to go on a date (without the kids) last weekend. It had been about 3 months. We were going to go see The Brothers Grimm, but Just Like Heaven had just opened and I was curious to see Jon Heder’s (a.k.a. Napoleon Dynamite) next performance.
I was very pleasantly surprised. From the preview, I had no idea what the movie was about. I thought some guy was going to fall in love with a ghost or something. But there was so much more to it than that. What a great story. I must really be into chick flicks or something because this was one the most enjoyable movies I have watched all year.
I laughed throughout the movie and my wife cried. Sure, my eyes watered a bit, but I never cried. My wife even cried after the movie while telling her sister on the phone she should go see it. This will surely be in my DVD collection once it is released.
I broke my arm pitching my senor year in high school, then went on a mission, came home and didn’t pursue baseball further. I did play in an adult league twice. I played a couple years ago and had a pretty good season. I batted clean-up in the all-star game. I was batting over 400 and have a few home-runs. It was great. I love this game. It’s just getting harder and harder to make the time to play, but I want to get down to 220 lbs and play one more season before calling it quites for good. Then I will be content with coaching my daugher (Gracie – 3 yrs) in softball and my son (Gehrig – 6 mo) in baseball.
